Privacy Policy

This policy was last updated August 17, 2026, and applies specifically to The Oracle's Handbook (iOS, Android, and web). It supersedes and expands on the shorter Oracle's Handbook entry in Code Craft LLC's general privacy policy at codecraftllc.net.

Data Stored Only on Your Device

The core of this app — dealing and interpreting tarot spreads, calculating natal charts and transits, reading the Tree of Life, Hebrew letter, numerology, chakra, and Reiki content, running the guided meditation exercises, and keeping your Self-Observation Diary — works entirely on your own device. Birth dates and locations you enter for a natal chart, diary entries, saved card-back and background preferences, and tutorial/first-run state are stored locally (via on-device storage) and are never transmitted to us unless you separately choose to create an account and use a feature that syncs data, described below. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.

Optional Account Data

Creating an account is optional and is only required for a small number of features — currently, saving a natal chart to your account for cross-device access and validating an active Pro subscription. If you create an account, we (through our backend provider, Supabase) store the email address and password you sign up with (passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text) and, if you use the natal-chart-saving feature, the birth data associated with any chart you choose to save to your account. You can request deletion of your account and this data at any time — see the Contact Us page.

Purchases and Subscriptions

In-app purchases and Pro subscriptions are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and subscription entitlement status is managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. RevenueCat receives a device/account identifier and purchase-transaction data necessary to verify and track subscription status; we do not receive or store your payment card details, which are handled entirely by Google's or Apple's payment systems.

Advertising and Cookies

On the web version of this app, Google AdSense may serve ads on pages with substantial original content (educational pages like the Tarot Guide and Blog, for example — not on menus, forms, or the Privacy Policy and Contact Us pages themselves). Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising, and see what data Google's ad products use, at Google's Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com), and industry-wide opt-outs are available through the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info) and, for EEA/UK users, the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (youronlinechoices.eu). Ads are not served in the native iOS or Android app builds at this time.

Crash Reporting and Diagnostics

This app uses Sentry to capture crash reports and errors so we can find and fix bugs. Sentry error reports can include device information, IP address, and, where relevant to the error, contextual data about what you were doing in the app (for example, which screen was open). Session replay is not enabled during ordinary use of this app (it is only sampled on error, to help reproduce a bug) and is never used to record or transmit typed passwords or payment details, which are handled by Google/Apple/RevenueCat and never pass through this app's own code.

Analytics

The web version of this app uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that reports aggregate traffic and performance data (such as which pages are visited and how quickly they load) without using cookies or tracking individual users across sites. We also record anonymous, non-identifying counts of feature usage (for example, how many spreads or chart calculations are run in total) to understand which parts of the app are actually used; these counts are not tied to your identity or account.

Location Data

This app does not access your device's GPS or location services. Birth-location data used for natal chart and transit calculations is text you type in yourself (a city or coordinates) and is used only to compute the chart — it is treated the same as any other birth data described above, stored locally unless you save it to an account.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information (for example, by creating an account), contact us using the details on the Contact Us page and we will delete it.

Your Choices and Rights

You can use nearly all of this app's features — every tarot spread, natal chart and transit calculation, and every educational page — without ever creating an account or providing any personal information beyond what you type into the chart calculators, which stays on your device. If you do create an account, you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data at any time via the Contact Us page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; the same contact route applies to those requests.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes in a way that materially affects how your data is handled, we'll update the "Last Updated" date above and, for significant changes, note it in the app's release notes or the New Feature notice shown on the home screen.
